About the Author

Mugshot I was born in 1980, and I’m still not dead. (This joke was stolen from Terry Pratchett.) I was born and live in Sweden, a country that is rumored to have penguins and polar bears roaming the streets.

I am a big fan of the written word, and I like to both read and write. This site hosts my personal blog where I tend to write mostly about computer games, various forms of graphical design, and words. Yes, words. I like words. Or did I already say that?

About Atomic Playboy

The site had a few more or less embarassing names before I settled on the current one. The reason is twofold:

  1. I like the name.
  2. All bloggers must have a snappy, catchy domain name!

A side effect of this name is a humongous number of search engine hits for people looking for Playboy Magazine images. Which you won’t find here.

The origin of the name comes from World War II. Vice Admiral William P. Blandy addressed nervous people regarding the effects a nuclear bomb would have with the following quote:

The bomb will not start a chain reaction in the water, converting it all to gas and letting all the ships on all the oceans drop down to the bottom. It will not blow out the bottom of the sea and let all the water run down the hole. It will not destroy gravity. I am not an atomic playboy!

…and the phrase stuck. So here the site is.
