Ugh. My wisdom tooth is on the move again. It started growing out and grinding against the gum on the other side, causing an inflammation.
It did the exact same thing a year ago, when it first started poking out of the gum. But it stopped moving, the inflammation went away, the gum changed shape to fit the new tooth and I didn’t bother to have it checked.
But now it’s moving again, and there may not be enough room for the gum to adapt. Seeing a dentist in two weeks to see if anything needs to be done.
In a fit of synchronisation I also started feeling stuff in a molar a week before the wisdom tooth gave me trouble again, so I was thinking about going to the dentist anyway — got some plaque to get rid of too. I suspect I have a cavity for the first time in twenty years (and the last time it was a milk tooth, so eventually I got a factory-new tooth).
And checking wikipedia for dental extraction probably didn’t help my anxiety against having body parts removed.

I’m moving tomorrow. As a matter of fact, I’m a bit too busy packing tons of crap to even write this.

The bottom fell out of one of my drawers the other week, and I haven’t bothered to put a few nails in it yet. And April doesn’t really want me to, since she’s found a perfect spot to sleep in: the sock drawer!

Ugh. It’s hot.
It’s not the hottest summer I’ve seen, but this heat has lasted for a long time. And I can’t really have the windows fully open for a nice draft; about two weeks ago April decided to jump out from an open window. I didn’t really expect her to try to jump from the second floor… She was away all night, but apparently stayed nearby since I propped the door open in the morning and refilled her food bowl. Two seconds after the rattle of food in the bowl she was inside again.
It’s a tough life outside — there’s nobody there to refill your food and water bowls.
The biggest news right now is that I’ll be moving back to Stockholm in early September. I’m going to give another stab at studying, but the main reason is that I miss my friends and I have nothing to do down here. Studying is mostly so that I can apply for a student loan and afford the rent. Getting an education and a good chance at a job through the school doesn’t hurt, though.

Don’t fall down the stairs.
I think I broke two toes. Unhurt otherwise.

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been working hard on getting the floor upstairs ready. And by “working hard” I mean I’ve been downstairs playing World of Warcraft and occasionally handed my dad a tool.
I’ve moved away from Stockholm — I’m now some 600 kilometers to the south. I lived with my mom for a few weeks, and now I’m at my dad’s place. Once we’re done upstairs (with my helpful WoW playing), I’ll get a room there that’s about the size of the living room in my apartment in Stockholm.
My furniture is still in my apartment, so once we’re done here we’ll drive up and get everything and clean the apartment. Then things can finally go back to somewhat normal. Right now there’s lots of stuff crammed in every corner downstairs.
It will be great to have a room of my own again. The long-term goal is to find an apartment of my own somewhere, but until then I’m living here.
It felt bad to move away from all my friends in Stockholm, but we’re still in constant contact via IRC, blogs and diaries on a community. I drifted away from my friends down here when I moved up to Stockholm three years ago, but I’m already working on fixing that.
And now to convince myself to take a shower instead of going back to sleep.

Today I read my first feed in a long while. I’ve been clean otherwise. I just kicked the habit when I switched from Windows to Linux, mainly due to the fact that all available feed readers for Linux suck.
I thought I’d miss it, but I didn’t. I quit, cold turkey.
Now that I’m back on Windows again (mostly because I missed a couple of games) I re-installed FeedDemon and eyed a couple of the thousands of accumulated headlines, but I marked most of them as read without reading them. Not very interesting stuff to read.
There are a rare few sites that I always read, though. Expect me to sniff around and make a whole bunch of comments on your latest entries.
Also, it only took two weeks from reinstalling Movable Type to getting hit by comment spam.
