As another attempt at decentralizing stuff I tend to do at more than one computer (I recently switched from Thunderbird to Gmail, despite having a very fine IMAP server available), I’ve now started using NewsGator to read most of my feeds.
I use FeedDemon on the laptop. I could easily install it on my stationary machine as well, but then we have the problem of feeds appearing as unread on both machines.
NewsGator has since bought FeedDemon, and will integrate them later — things I read in FeedDemon get flagged as read in NewsGator, and vice versa. I have a few issues with the NewsGator interface — a few changes could make it so much easier to use — but no major gripes.
Also, am I a geek when I put my compilation of World of Warcraft plugins in a Subversion repository so I can check them out someplace else?

I’ve gotten quite tired of Thunderbird lately. It’s a pretty fine application, but after using the search features of Gmail I’ve become a bit spoiled.
So as an experiment I’m now forwarding all mail from my address at this domain to my Gmail account, and setting the reply-to there to my regular address.
I’m also using this application to load Gmail with a bunch of mbox folders with some of my old mail that I want to keep in Gmail for storage and easy searching — order receipts and such.
Let’s see how this works out.

Hoo boy. Lots of things happening in my life right now. I’ll see if I can put it in words later.
I’ve started doing some writing for a new wiki, the Encyclopedia Gamia. It has only existed for about four days so far, but we’ve already passed 500 articles. We are a bunch of people from the Penny Arcade forums, but we’ve started spreading the word now.
It’s great fun to check a random page and maybe add some content of your own there.
