I finally got Typekey working here. There’s a bug in Movable Type where MT::Util::perl_sha1_digest, returns an incorrect digest on certain Perl installations (might be a problem with Perl instead of MT, though — I didn’t analyze it thoroughly). Some hacking in the source did the trick.

Update: It’s fixed in MT 3.11.
