Translocation

Back in Stockholm again after a trip down to Kristianstad. The first thing I did after getting back was packing all my stuff and moving to a new apartment. No Internet at home yet, so pardon the lack of entries.

I’ve ordered a phone line, and as soon as that’s installed (should be early next week) I’ll order an ADSL connection from Bredbandbolaget. I’m pretty close to the nearest phone junction, so with a little luck I’ll get 12 megabit/s downstream, 9 upstream.

There’s not really much to do at home without the ‘net — I’m thoroughly dependant on it for much of my social life.

That does sound sort of sad and lonely, but I really do have much of my social interactions via IRC with my friends. Even though I lived in the same apartment as Martin, we had most of our interactions via IRC – and he was in the room behind my back. How’s that for geeky?

The answer is, of course, that another 20 persons were also involved in our discussions. Why say something to one person when you can say it to 21?
